TING!!

That's the sound which I hear, Just as the Access Control in my Office turns 13.00!

TING!!!

It's like bell ringing in my head! This Mental Bell of mine, says "EAT, Neelu!! TIME to EAT Lunch, Neelu!!! GET UP, Neelu!!!" And this doesn't stop till I get up and move towards the pantry. Mind you this is something that only happens during the weekdays, on weekends it's a whole new ball game altogether. On weekends, Come One, Two or even Three, there aren't any fixed hunger pangs or any mental bells! (Which is bad, I know and I am keen on working on it! :P)

It's a mechanism which I believe has come into play all, in order to Break my day into two distinct halves at work. Pre Lunch and Post Lunch! It sort of helps me in thinking, just a few more hours and BAM I am out of this place! ;)

Anyone and everyone who asks me about lunch and  I give them my above answer, At sharp One, have a laugh. This has been happening for quite a bit now and today, right now, considering I have a half an hour of unexpected Free Time before I leave Work, I have decided to blog about the Why I eat at ONE sharp, that is apart from the ridiculous reasoning I have given above!! :P
During my school days and college days and for that matter even during days when I am at home, I practice what most nutritionists might call “a terribly ugly and horrific eating plan”! My Eating habits was like garbage. Like a lot of students, and my friends I’d be up until the wee hours of the morning, working on the various assignments and tests and by the time I woke up the next day, I barely had enough time to come my hair, let alone eat a healthy breakfast or lunch, forget on TIME!
The benefits of eating on TIME are many, below are a few I know and work on:
  • It helps jump starts your metabolism. My productivity and my speed increases by two folds after lunch. Probably its psychosomatic, whatever be the reason it sure does work.
  • It helps curb cravings. Black tea is NOT a craving! :P
  • It helps focus for the REST of the day. My focus being on 17.30 Hours to be precise!!! :D :D
  • It makes you more awesome!! :D ;) Trust me on THAT!

And Now for a Few facts thanks to my beloved Google! :D

Eating regular low fat meals reduces total and LDL (bad) cholesterol and reduces resistance to insulin – reducing the overall risk of developing heart disease.
Regular meal eaters tend to have a lower energy (calorie) intake compared to those who eat irregularly – crucial if you’re looking to maintain or lose weight.
By eating meals and snacks regularly you will help keep your blood sugar levels stable. Why is this good? Because this will help prevent strong feelings of hunger, which could result in you over-eating the next time you eat! (which is usually the time you reach for that chocolate bar, latte or muffin - or all 3! :P).
Most of us understand how eating a healthy and on TIME can help us feel better, lose weight, and improve focus, but that doesn’t mean we magically have the time to eat on TIME, right? Most are lazy, some embarrassed, some give the "Oh so much work!"excuse and some simply FORGET! It can be a hassle for sure, especially when you start off but with TIME, it will be a piece of Cake! We need to remember that these excuses aren't going to HELP our health in any way, but eating on time and regularly definitely will!
The change that eating on time can bring about is phenomenal. The change is Night and Day! We become more energetic, alert, our nutrition intake is higher and we remain STRONG.

My friends (Read the ones who ridicule me for lunching at sharp ONE), think “Lunch is for Weaklings or Oldies!” - But NO, that's not true, Having lunch on TIME is for industrious people who want to benefit from taking 20 minutes out to UNWIND, LOOSEN OUT and REFUEL – the rise in blood sugar following the meal aids concentration and brainpower! Imagine having this Boost daily at a Fixed Time? A dip in blood sugar or the afternoon slump, is generally due to a skipped or delayed meal, causing tiredness, sleep, mood changes and loss of concentration – definitely not the most ‘productive’ state to be in.

We all like to be healthy and to be sure that we're doing the best we can for ourselves, and our health, so why not eat on TIME?

A Vegan Affair!

For all those of you who have been kind and patient enough to follow my blog are aware by now that Friday mornings, or rather the Weekends are the time I wake up from my Slumber, I mentally die on Saturday night just thinking about having to go to Work! Ugh and I live again, rather rise up from my deep mental sleep, on Wednesday nights.. :D :D Just the thought of NOT having to go to work and see all these WONDERFUL people at work gives me an unbelievably incredible RUSH!

Such an amazing and enormous feeling that I can barely sleep past 6.30 on Friday mornings... There is SO much to do, do much to live, so much to breathe! No over exaggeration here... I am in a frenzy to do ALL things at one go!! This Friday I had decided I wanted to Cook! :D I would like to think I am a fairly decent cook, and the only person who would vouch for that without batting an eye lid would be my dear Brother! He being young, complete foodie, and forever hungry will gobble up anything and everything I subject him to and also appreciate IT! :D But this time around I did manage to get reviews from everyone at home. So I am guessing I have done something right especially considering this being My first attempt at making the Manchurian!! :)

At about 8.00 in the morning, I make this plan of cooking and since I am a huge Indo-Chinese food fan, I decided I wanted to stir up something Chinese and something Indian at the same time! The rich spicy taste native to this realm of fusion cooking is hard to resist, and if you haven't tasted Indo-Chinese food yet, you are surely missing something.

So it was decided, its Vegetable Manchurian, Vegetable Noodles, Falafel and Scrambled Eggs!

I am a vegetarian, and I have been one for over 6 to 7 years now. The reasons for that well, that would take up too much space and time and would most definitely deviate from the topic at hand, so maybe later! Despite me being a vegan, I have no issues with people having their meat. chicken, fish or eggs and that is precisely the very reason I decided to add Scrambled Eggs to my Lunch menu. Why deprive my poor siblings just because I don't eat non veg, right? :)

One of the most popular Indian Chinese recipes - The Vegetarian Manchurian - It's a soy-sauce based gravy thickened with corn flour, and has vegetable dumplings added to it to give extra flavor. This recipe is courtesy http://www.indianfoodforever.com/, this site isn't for people who are trying their hand at cooking for the very first time, since they only venture to give out the recipe and the instructions in a casual upper hand sort of way, they don't give step by step instructions and you will have to use your own imagination at certain places. But nevertheless, this is the first site that pops up when you do a quick Google search and I am pretty content with their recipes and the quality of the Dishes that has come out of it.

Coming to Vegetable Manchurian, Manchuria, is a historical region of republic of China, that has seen the rise and fall of several dynasties, including an invasion by the great warrior Gengiz Khan. The recipe for Manchurian, as you can see, derives its name from the native region of Manchuria, where it originated. Over years, the traditional recipe evolved to mimic the current fusion version, where Indian and Chinese spices come together to constitute a lip-smacking main course recipe that will woo your hearts and your palate!

A quick stop over at the grocery with my Mum and brother, my ever so helpful sister happily obliging to help me in the kitchen, my Blackberry opened out to the Recipe page, and my mum floating around in the background, with all her senses sharp so as not to miss out an calls of HELP,  I was ready to go! :D

We decided to start of making the Vegetarian Manchurian Gravy...

Ingredients

Manchurian Balls
2 cups finely chopped cabbage
2 cups carrot , grated
7 tbsp corn flour
3 to 4 clove of garlic, finely chopped
1 slit green chili , finely chopped
salt - to taste
oil for deep-frying

Manchurian Sauce
1 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
2 tsp finely chopped green chilies
2 tsp finely chopped ginger
1 cup clear water, though a cup of Vegetable stock can also be used
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp corn flour mixed with 1 cup of water
2 pinches of sugar
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste

Method

For the vegetable balls
Combine the cabbage, carrots, corn flour, garlic, green chili, salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix well. Shape spoonfuls of the mixture into small balls. If you find it difficult to form balls, you can CALL your MUM, like I did, or PRAY, or rather just sprinkle a little water to bind the mixture. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain and keep aside.

For the sauce
Heat the oil in a frying pan on a high flame. Add the garlic, green chilies and ginger and stir fry over a high flame for a few seconds. Add water, soya sauce, corn flour paste, sugar and salt and simmer for a few minutes.

Just before serving, put the vegetable balls in the sauce and bring to a boil. transfer to a serving bowl, garnish with some chopped coriander leaves!

Preparation time - 30 Minutes

Once the Manchurian was tackled and set aside, Me and My sister moved on to the Vegetable Noodles... this is my own recipe. It's easy, gentle on the taste buds and definitely filling!

Ingredients

500 gms of Noodles or you could like me use 5 packets of Maggie Noodles!
Soy Sauce - 34 tbsp
2 tsp finely chopped ginger
2 tsp finely chopped garlic
3 tsp finely chopped Coriander leaves
1   Onion cut into long  pieces
2 cups finely chopped capsicum
2 cups carrot , grated
2 cups spring onions finely chopped
Pepper & salt to taste
Chili sauce

Preparation:

Boil the Noodles, for about 2 minutes if you're using Maggie noodles or till when it is cooked well keep it a side, and let the water to drain. Heat a little oil in a pan and add ginger, garlic and fry for a while. Add the soy sauce, salt and chili sauce to the mixture and sauté for a while and then add the onions, carrots, capsicum and keep on a low flame and once the color starts changing an bit add the spring onions and sauté for about a minute and then Add the drained noodles to the mixture and mix well. Lastly, I used the stock that they give along with the Maggie two minute noodles in warm water, mixed it well and poured it all over the Noodles to give it a final flavoring. The reason I didn't directly spread the powder is because it tends to form lumps if not dissolved well.  Once all this is done, Garnish with coriander leaves.

Preparation time - 15 Minutes

Its fast, easy to cook and the next time you are in mood to eat something Chinese, or Indian or spicy, I suggest COOKING it rather than ORDERING! It hardly takes much time and trust me the feeling of eating something that you have created it something truly Different! And if you like the taste of soy, ginger, garlic, crisp vegetables and spicy food in general, you will love this fusion version of Manchurian and Noodles! Its great for a summer potluck, nice quiet lunch or dinner!

Btw it also great for using your time productively! :D Enjoy!

Laughing it OFF!

"Stay away from Neelu, when she is laughing!!!"

YUP! That would be My Appa, he is paranoid when it comes to me laughing, not that I can blame him for it, experience is the best teacher and we had soo many experiences wherein I have been extremely hysterical when I laugh! I laugh so hard and so long, and I would like to also add laugh from the Heart, that it's  almost like a mini work out for me. Actually it runs in the family, Me, My sis, My brother and My Mum, we are all LOL's!! Proper Laugh Out LOUD types!! Actually me and my siblings are also the Rolling on the floor and laughing so hard type as well as Laugh so hard that no sound escapes the mouth type, and the Rocking back and forth with laughter like a mad possessed being type!! We can be insensitive, harsh, loud, unabashed and boisterous when it comes to laughing!! We simply LOVE a Good Laugh!

Only two days back did I see this HILARIOUS video, and to call it just hilarious would be criminal because it was just so amazing. It was funny, crazy, entertaining, side splitting, uproarious and downright comical!! It would be WRONG if I praised it so much and didn't put it up here so here goes... :D :D I hope you guys LOVE it just as much as I loved it!!!

The part wherein one of the guys does this hand stand on top of a table and singing "HHHHAASSUUUSUUSUUUUU" is Unbelievable! The best part is that these guys seem to be taking themselves quite SERIOUS! I really appreciate the fact that these guys actually learnt the song and tried to mimic a few steps as well! I would so love to have them over for my Marriage, or rather why wait, have them over for my birthday!!! (Which is about 2 Months and Five days away to be precise!) It would be wonderful to have these guys do a SPECIAL something for me on My birthday, No??? Oh wait then I have NO1 sit next to me or else they will just end up getting bruised like my Appa, (After all He did get bruised standing next to me while watching this video! :D :D )

But Really, Laughter is like the best medicine, and it makes our lives full of fun, excitement, enjoyment and THRILL, and with all this we are perfectly armed to head on the reality of life or any challenges that we may face on a daily basis!

Since We already know this, I thought why not GOOGLE the benefits of Laughing??? Well I have come to be known as the Google Queen in my Office, for reasons more than one, so Why not take it further rite?? :D

So basically Google saysssss....

  • For adults, laughter is the best way to reduce wrinkles. TRUE I second that My Mum n Appa look Fit and Fabulous (Touch wood) and now I know why!!! :D :D :D
  • Laughter relieves tension, stress and anxiety. Try watching one of these video at WORK, after a tough client meeting!! You will forget you even came to work, Guaranteed! LOL
  • Laughter helps us to negate the negative outlook in life.  If Google Says soo! :)
  • Laughter heals broken hearted. Guess this is why we try cracking up a friend who has recently been dumped, though it may not always go the way we want it too, especially while cracking jokes at such a delicate stage. Then again timing is everything!
  • It can help to relieve pain or diminish pain. True that!!
  • Laughter and humor helps increase our immunity. Happy People are less Sick? Maybe, Not harm in trying rite?
  • Laughter helps create stronger bonding with other people, helping us to mingle better. True we always seem to like people who can make us laugh and laugh with us easier than the tough, hard to laugh types.
  • Laughter helps boost up our energy and protect us from damaging effect of stress in our body, releasing anger, fear, guilt, anxiety and tension. Who needs the Self help books anyway?
  • And above all it will decrease our heart diseases. :D :D
  • Laughter encourages concentration on "right" attitudes rather than "wrong" attitudes. Then again, who decides who/what is RIGHT and what is WRONG?
SO I am guessing all these reasons alone, give us all the rationale we need to NOT be a serious person all the time, isn't it?

Laughter is not merely a simple response to comedy; It is much more than that. It is like an undeciphered language we all speak that binds US together. Smiling, laughing and tickling may have actually evolved to create bonds between babies and parents, Laughter is a series of short vowel-like syllables, ha ha, ho-ho or hee-hee all rhythmically woven together to create a beautifully melodious symphony which universally CONNECTS each and every one of us despite being from different cultures, race and countries.

Last but definitely not the least, coming to my favorite BENEFIT of Laughter.... Did you know, laughing 100 times roughly equals 15 minutes on an exercise bike?? Well Now you do!! :P Vigorous laughter increases the heart rate, deepening the breathing rate, and using muscles in the face, stomach, and diaphragm. In short it's an EXERCISE!! Which will in turn..... help you... wait for it...... (Oohh the Magic Words..) LOSE WEIGHT!!

I guess how I have a healthy addition to my otherwise bleak exercise schedule with is currently having just one Routine, that being Jumping into Conclusions!!! Pfft! But Now LAUGHTER, a daily dose of vigorous laughing shall be incorporated!! Now if this isnt going to motivate you to be a LESS serious person, I really don't know what will!!!

So Lets LOL!

P.S Take time, watch the Videos... I am sure you wont regret it! :D

LISTY!

Anyone and everyone whose is someone in my life knows how much I love to make LISTSI am absolutely fixated with List Making. Be it a Party, a trip, the things to do in day to day lives, shopping lists, yearly lists and more!! I have to make a LIST I must have aided in cutting down at least 10 trees with my extreme obsession with making lists!!
I’ve always been a list maker, a diligent note-taker, a recorder of all things. I write, record and keep it rather save it for the pleasure of being able to read my thoughts on a particular day at a particular time, perhaps even wondering, Did I write that??? I have always kept a diary (in some form or another) for every year of my life all thanks to my Maternal Grandfather, my Vallichan. HE is great list maker too. In fact he still at the ripe young age of 79, he still very religiously makes lists. And very detailed ones at that!!
As for me I always have written notes on the back of my hand, post-it’s stuck to my cabinets and computer screen, and a pen stuck behind my ear or in my hair at all times. If you got a peek at my old college notebooks, or note pads at work, you’d quickly diagnose me with OCD. But then again that is something we already know, isn’t it?
It’s deeply rooted in my personality, for good or bad, I don’t know. I like to document the mundane!!! I am pretty sure that is well acknowledged and easily visible through this blog of mine. I like to have projects, and I like ticking things off (or rather STRIKING THEM OFF) as I accomplish them. But come to think of it, lists are very necessary and an invariable necessity for our super fast competitive lifestyle. Even small things, like “take a shower”, are fun to draw a line through. They help me, keep me focused, prevents me from forgetting and keeps everything in order and clean. This is extremely helpful considering how overloaded my brain is at most times.

I  have recently been watching a lot of shows which have been depicting a lots of the characters having a very strong addiction to list making and NOW, not only have I realized that am I not alone in this obsession, and quite clearly not as crazy as the people they describe!!! What a RESPITE!!
I remember this one time in college, when me and a couple of my friends were in the fire escape staircase (Our little adda), deciding on a topic for one of our presentations and generally brainstorming, I was sitting there, with a pen and book in hand and I kept writing and listing and noting and TELLING them what we will do and how, My friend, Andy completely LOST it and she took my pen and threw it down the stairs and said ”ENOUGH of your listing!” LOL It was Hilarious! Her flushed angry face, My shocked and scared face and Shabbe and Luanne (my other two classmates and dear friends) were laughing their guts out!! Sigh!
But the idea is to capture all those floating to-do’s in some sort of a written format, which in turn will help in keeping them from becoming a troublesome notion rather an ITCH at the back of my mind. Like this morning, I have this itch to do a lot of things, but unfortunately or fortunately due to the mundane Work life that we all at one point of time need to adhere to, for various reasons, I couldn’t get it listed in the morning, and the tension, the irritation of not being able to get it out of my head, that truly showed me HOW MUCH of a List Maker I am!!  So cheers to List Making and All my Fellow List makers… Btw is anyone other than me into List Making?? IronED!

The way we approach life and cleaning are so very coherent and conjoined. I strongly believe so!

Cleaning and Life can be a dance or an exercise, meditation or drudgery, ritual or a chore. I like to think and rethink what cleaning means and choose a different form of cleaning from time to time

As the days of the week keep ticking down towards the weekend, both life and cleanliness worries me. The things that have been worrying me are those that I don't have any control over, Nevertheless THEY are the ones I WANT control over. This morning I just woke up knowing today was the day for both thinking and reflecting on my way of CLEANING!

A quick look around us shows us that we like to surround ourselves with objects that create a sense of wealth, protection, comfort, and community. Everything needs to be cleaned from time to time. We often clean without FOCUS... That is a problem, because everything we do or every act we perform requires a certain amount of FOCUS. We often don't give it the focus it deserves because we believe this process to be something that steals our time from our already busy schedules!!!

For Me IRONING, Ironing is my act of cleanliness, apart from the many of acts of cleanliness I perform; Ironing is a personal favorite and a really good cleanser. Ironing helps me reconsider my interactions with my possessions, people around me, and the environment.

Thursday evenings or Friday Mornings provide the Ideal Cleaning time for me, to stop and reflect upon the material world, object by objectperson by person, thereby reaching a deeper sense of ourselves, or a higher platform... Through this cleaning I am forcefully confronted with the meanings I attach to objects in my lives. I believe our possessions represent our identities and our individual psychologies, together manifesting themselves in how we CLEAN. Everyone cleans with different intention. I clean to distress, decode, interpret concealed messages, and crack the social connectivity norms...

In short I love IRONING...  Ironing the clothes, pressing the creases, smoothening the wrinkles, and getting a crisp and kadak outcome. I take delight in wrinkles — those complexities that shift and fold our thoughts, the crease can be very well compared to those of our face while in concentration or laughter, and can also be directly correlated to the random happenings that shift our daily monotonous life into plots of fiction! The Hot shower vapor not only smoothens and makes us appreciate a crease free dress, but also give encouragement to try and smoothen all the wrinkles and creases in our life!

It takes me almost ten minutes just to get the space arranged and to start my cleansing. Fixing the iron board and iron to the electrical socket, selecting all the clothes required for the coming week, the hangers perfectly aligned, in order and ready to receive the newly ironed clothes, the water spray bottle all filled and then I am SET! The Iron is heated up and there begins my cleaning, moving back and forth over the creases and wrinkles, pressing on uneven planes, smoothening, spraying on water, the sound of the hot vapor rising from the clothes, the smell of fresh laundry... How can someone NOT find this therapeutic! Ironing helps me clean, demarcate and properly allocate my thoughts and feelings that I harbor in myself.

When I finish, I feel a deep sense of stillness inside. All the strong concentration towards smoothing each wrinkle in the fabric one by one creates a different connection, a new association between all those feeling, emotions and not forgetting memories of the past week, deriving new explanations to the same all along!! It's like flattening and crushing the hill and valleys of remembrance into a smooth sinuous flowing fabric of my life. IRONING is Bliss!  Unless of course, you think of Ironing as an irritating chore which can at any moment turn into a burn-inducing catastrophe!!! :P

*Statuary Warning - This could also lead to burning of that new silk top that you have finally brought after having saved up for it, or having a nice wide hole in that khadi shirt of yours! So BEWARE! ;)

BLOCKBUSTER!

High on Adrenaline! Energetic! Roller coaster of Emotions! FUN!
Yup those are the exact words that spring into my head when I think about the past week... Starting off with My sister's surprise birthday party to a special lunch date with a dear dear close friend of mine to Long drives to the Marina to Harry potter mania to a *friendly meeting* to two back to back truly entertaining blockbusters, my week was Perfect! Touchwood and I am hoping for a repeat telecast this week! :D
I have grown up on a heavy dose of hero worship and larger than life characters who can do no wrong and are completely WHITE! It's always the HERO who has managed to capture the attention and stay on with us long after we have seen the movie or read the book. But I have always had a soft spot for the *VILLIAN* as well... Be it Ravan from The Ramayana or Sher Khan from the Jungle Book. And lately I have been increasingly getting more attracted to the Villainous character so to say... They seem to be not only fighting the hero, but also fighting for our attention, for our appreciation and for our acceptance!!!
Last week it was the unlikely pair of killers from my July Book, *POSTCARD KILLERS* by James Patterson. Smart, Artistically inclined, severely psychotic, Proud, arrogant and sadistic, they somehow made more connection and eluded a certain charisma that was definitely missing in the main protagonist.
This week, two of the movies that I had the opportunity (Yes opportunity is the word I should use considering how difficult it is for me to even get two hours of free time in the weekend to relax let alone watch movies!) to watch were MURDER 2 and SINGHAM!!! In both of the movies the striking and commanding feature happened to be the antagonist!!! They thrilled, entertained, induced fear, captured the attention, made me wait and want to see more of them on Screen!

The ultimate Good winning over Evil movies, all ought to have the protagonist and the antagonist on the same platform. In SINGHAM, it's not just the hero, Ajay Devgan who's powerful and mighty; the villain, Prakash Raj is equally ferocious. But Unfortunately or Rather Fortunately in Murder 2, its out and out Prashant Narayan, the villain who delivers such a splendid performance in turn overshadowing the bad boy with good ideals, Emraan Hashmi who with his uncut and unruly hair and stoned face cuts a sorry figure.
With the added advantage of a superb balance of good and evil in Singham, all the conflicts are so very enjoyable and its truly a fight of equals!! Ajay Devgan with his new, improved, lean, muscular and powerfully built body is a delight to watch but My personal favorite is the egocentric, arrogant, dramatic, villainous, conceited, bigheaded and supercilious Prakash Raj! What a performer? What easy control and delivery of his dialogues and What talent? He is certainly an awe inspiring actor, one who can easily be included in the Book of Actors to be studied for their superior and brilliant interpretation of the character in hand, breathing so much more than just Life into it! Prakash Raj is simply marvelous and in fact, walks shoulder to shoulder with Ajay in dramatic scenes.
Murder 2  has the advantage of a creepy serial killer who will stop at nothing to grab his pound of flesh. As far as the bad guys, this neurotic monster, played with spine-chilling casualness by Prashant Narayanan, is in a league apart!!! His performance is so effective that you start loathing him every time he appears on screen. Even though Hashmi is fairly competent as the ex-cop, who is trying to save his girl friend and many others from the clutches of the twisted villain, he pales before Narayanan’s bravura performance and breathtaking voice! Prashant’s depiction of a self-turned eunuch who kills call girls because of his impotency is perfect – never over the top but enough to chill your bones. Not that the villain’s character is written any better than the hero’s. But Narayanan demonstrates how a gifted actor can rise above the script all thanks to  his own intelligence and skill and I am too tempted to add this his heritage. Yep heritage! Long after You have watched the movie, what stays with you is the fear generating, cringe inducing singing of the chartbuster "Bheege Hoont Tere" from Murder by our Kerala Born Delhi Bred Malayali Boy! Simply Fantastic performance!

Both Movies are embodiments of on screen MASCULINITY, though in varied and diverse fashions, Ajay Devgan enacts the central character of a righteous, strong cop with flourish bringing alive on screen a larger-than-life hero character with determined conviction, which renders you thunderstruck whereas Emraan Hashmi in Murder 2, as an ex cop battling inner demons showcases masculinity in the way he behaves and treats his girlfriend. While Singham is a remake of a Tamil Film by the same name, played by the stunning, talented and gallant Surya (Coincidently, yesterday happened to be his bday!!! Happy Belated Bday, you Pretty thing!), Murder 2 happens to be inspired by a Korean film.  What sets apart these films, besides the obvious reasons ands more, is the fact that as Expected Murder 2 are high on sexual content, which in unnecessary and looks like a forced add on! An innovative story can do without generous doses of eroticism, or can it not? Apparently NOT!
Mohit Suri, who has been entrusted with the responsibility of taking the MURDER series forward is an efficient, stylish storyteller and he leaps notches above the prequel in terms of Boldness, Gore and Heightened levels of violence. There are some scenes that may appear disturbing, but that's the strength of this movie. It's definitely not for the weak-hearted.

SINGHAM works for varied reasons: The conflicts between Ajay Devgan and Prakash Raj, the high quality dramatic scenes, the raw action and of course, it mirrors the current issues of corruption, fraudulent politicians and spineless goons, all of which is highly relevant in today's day and time. The action scenes designed by Rohit Shetty are a definitely something to look forward to. SINGHAM goes for the desi flavor much like its South Indian version  and it works luminously. The raw, hardcore action is easily amongst the high points of the movie. Rohit Shetty deserves a big pat on his back for his superb direction. His narration is remarkable and credit goes to him for making the action film so entertaining and engrossing!!! His biggest victory lies in making the action film seem like an emotional-action drama, all this because he introduced a strong emotional undercurrent which comes across loud and clear all through the action fare. I think that is the very reason that besides the Men, even girls and ladies applauded, whistled and cheered throughout the movie!

In short.... SINGHAM!!! Roared, Growled n Snarled!!!! It works as an entertainer, a complete package! MURDER 2!! Bloody, Bold and Prasanth Narayan! It works for its Shock value, Eroticism, and Gore!
